The plan will include recommendations on community needs, operations, projects and capital spending. The ultimate goal of this document will be to guide the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department for the next 5-10 years. We are currently in the stage of kicking off our community engagement, which will be done through surveys, focus groups, public meetings and more. Our focus groups will be a one-hour session that will take place over Zoom in the second week of November. The focus groups will be centered around a facilitated discussion of what is the City’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Department doing really well, where can we improve, how we can work better with other departments and other topics we are seeking feedback on.
